I downloaded the tarball, and ran it, but the solipsist didn't show up as a character that I could create, or even as a locked class. I did add "psionic_solispist = true" to my allow_build. I'm assuming this should be showing up next to the mindslayer?

As another data point, I do frequently take the fire tree, though purely for flameshock. That ranged stun is very useful when my rush skill is on cooldown (I typically only take whirlwind teleport or tidal rush, as I always feel crunched for skill points). On the other hand, once the "firestorm...

Slightly off topic: when you use a shield rune while frozen, doesn't the shield absorb the damage rather than the ice, and thus keep you frozen for longer? On the other hand, I guess if the damage is enough to break the ice, it may not be good to take 60% of it?

I hadn't played around w/ disruption shield enough, I suppose. I hadn't realized that it hurts the caster. That makes it much more of a gamble to use that skill...
