Re: Another OSX compile problem
Actually, I think I answered my own question by using "cmake -G Xcode", and using xcode to build tome2.xcodeproj I'm having a completely different problem now, though, when it tries linking: Ld src/Release/tome normal i386 cd /Users/astern/tome2-base setenv MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET 10.6 /D...

Another OSX compile problem
I've been having a lot of issues trying to compile tome2 on my macbook pro. I can get it to work only by commenting out the optional components from CmakeLists, but then it only runs in the terminal window, with no graphics. I imagine this is the culprit here: Linking C executable tome ld: warning: ...

Re: The Brawler Class
Not to mention headgear boots, belts etc...
I added these back in: shields and helms in heavy armor stores, gloves and boots and belts to light armor, and cloaks to cloth armor
copy the attached file overtop of game/modules/tome/data/general/stores/basic.lua

Re: Compiling ToME under Mac OSX
I've been able to compile without errors, but it crashes when I run it. In the meantime, I've been able to build and play without errors for the most part with the following commands. The recent store changes after r3052 cause problems that I haven't fixed yet. Some of these reverts to 2987 may be u...

Re: Call for sounds
Years ago I ripped sounds from Ultima Online to use with AngbandTk; I've still got the .wav file somewhere. I hear those same sound effects used in tons of games and movies and TV shows, does that mean they're safe to use by any chance?

Re: Mac issues
The thread is currently adjacent to this one; I've been doing 10.5 compiles for a while with no no errors. Get ahold of me and I'll sent you the project file I'm using, works great!

Re: Compiling ToME under Mac OSX
Oh, I was able to do that, I had to specify paths to all the DSL* frameworks like you specified as well, and a couple other changes. I was just wondering if I could submit my xcode project file to be included in the next release. I'm sure there must be others in the position I was in.

Re: Compiling ToME under Mac OSX
I'm trying to uplaod the xcode project that will compile on OSX 10.5 and probably 10.4 too, but the board doesn't seem to let me. Is there another way I can submit it?

Re: Compiling ToME under Mac OSX
I haven't seen anyone one else complain about it, but I've been able to successfully build for my non 10.6 macbook (10.58), by fiddling with the xcode settings. So far, it's run flawlessly. Is there a reason to compile it for >=10.6? If not, could the master project settings be updated for 10.4 or 1...

Re: Talents vs. Skills
How dead set are you on keeping the two separate, with separate point pools? If that is still up for debate, I'd consider tabling idea and reverting to a singe poo until a later revisit. I guess the question to ponder is, "What does splitting the pool fix that was previously missing or broken, ...

Re: Talents vs. Skills
I mentioned this in another thread ,but this one seems more relevant. Obviously there will need to be some additions and balancing done to establish a roughly even number of skills and talents for each class, but I too think the two types should be clearly distinct categories. I propose that all pas...

Re: Character build
What are your thoughts on basing the division of skills and talents on active or passive use?
btw, I hate to make my first post here a critical one, but I've honestly loved just about everything else so far, spectacular work!

Re: Character build
I'd also like to voice my strong dislike of the initial stat/skill distribution change, and also with the talent/skill split even moreso. I'd be very relieved to see the auto assignment optional, and I like the tutorial idea a lot. As far as skills vs. stats, I really don't like them being separate ...
