Also - I sold back two of the "elm arrows" just after this happened, they appeared as "yew arrows" in the store inventory.

They were "Yew Arrows" not "Ash", in the original report. sorry.

Purchasing arrows in the shop in Bree.
Elm Arrows and Ash Arrows were available, my inventory contained elm arrows.
I purchased 30 ash arrows, the go into my inventory as 30 more elm arrows.

Arrows are difficult to come by. It seems very realistic.

With regard to item 2 : if you are using a bow , you may have a dagger in off hand, then if you equip another one handed weapon, you must 'take off' both items before you may equip the bow again. I picture a ranger fumbling with a sword dagger and bow while an armored skeleton is running at him.... ...
