[b32] Blocked off area in Ruins of Kor'Pul
In my generated level of Ruins of Kor'Pul (level 2) there is a blocked off area which is inaccessible, except by phase door I assume. I can't test as I don't have phase door with this char. I've noticed the same behaviour on WinXP too. I'm trying to duplicate it now, but some different things are actually occurring. Sometimes when I switch tasks then come back to Tome4 many of the keyboard keys are disabled, but not quite all. I can still use the 'g' key to pick up items off the floor ...

I really liked a lot of things about the way that the old alchemists worked. Some things I didn't like about them (which doesn't necessarily mean they were bad) were: Essences take a lot of inventory space with a lot of boring information. Just trying to imagine a tricky battle involving a Sun Paladin and a demon... I'm thinking it would be really nice if some of those abilities could be activated without using up a turn. For example bathe in light - would you really use it in a battle if it gave the demon a free round to deal damage?...

It would probably make more sense to wait until a couple more betas - looks like there are going to be a fair amount of character changes in the next couple of betas.

It sounds like there is something on your system that's causing problems for the game engine. Can you try starting the game with GDB - hopefully that will give the dev team enough info to track down the problem. this is because in mummy.lua they are given a talent "technique/2hweapon" when it should be either "technique/2hweapon-offense" or "technique/2hweapon-cripple" I tried out Shoob's mummy.lua solution and it fixed the first level of the elven ruins for me... have not tri...

For some reason, I'm playing a mage on my Windows PC and it hasn't crashed yet, but my arcane warriors crashed all the time.

I'm fairly sure these crashes do not happen in the linux version. I've just been running beta 2 for a few hours and I can't reproduce a crash. However, in the windows version it usually would take about 20 minutes.
Does anyone know of a way to debug this sort of thing in windows?
