Re: Stealth Adventurers
I tried to get mechanical arms + tentacles to work, and I just couldn't get the arms to actually trigger. What is necessary for mechanical arms, to function anyway? I feel like arms+throwing knives + tentacle would be a pretty solid combo if you could actually get it to work, but at the moment I'm n...

Re: psigunner advanced
Huh, apparently I didn't notice this thread any of the previous times you've updated it. Some comments: Rockets won't fire if you don't have the steam -- they consume steam per shot on top of the sustain steam drain. (My favorite no-generator steam-sustain hack is to mainhand a steamsaw with tentac...

Re: psigunner advanced
A few more bits I've discovered... - Steamtech sustains work just fine even if you on't have enough steam to sustain them all. It'll just mean that your steam is down at 0, and you'll never be able to shoot a gun or swing a saw or use any activated actions that cost steam. That's ptoentially workabl...

How did you have an unknown ring in the first place?
How would a ring give you a third prodigy?
How would a third prodigy nuke stealth?
I m confused.

Re: psigunner advanced
So, I have a correction to make. It appears that rocketry range is based on equipped weapon, rather than just being hard-set to 6. As such, there's less ability to exploit the otherwise overpowered steamguns with particularly short range. Twinblaster is still good, due to the "doubling the numb...

Re: Good Themed Adventurer builds based off of power source restrictions?
Well, this one is hitting a bit late, but my recently posted Psigunner Advanced works. The core mastery is psigun, and you can build the entire combo out of skills from steamgun classes and psi classes. Your resources are pretty much steam, psi, and bullets. Plus you can take Flexible Combat, and ge...

Re: psigunner advanced
I think the mindstar hit doesn't count as dual wielding for the purposes of Arcane Combat. Also, I think Earthen Missiles doesn't count as an on-hit for the purposes of Rocket Pod's 50% penalty. So you get up to 4 full damage, full chance Earthen Missile casts a turn. If you're not going Arcane Com...

psigunner advanced
I present the following to you for your consideration. - Steamtech/Psytech Gunnery: psyshot adds the mindstar attack on to every steamgun shot you make. This counts as a melee attack, and it gets whatever advantages you may have stacked on our melee attack. - Telekinetic Grasp/Beyond the Flesh with ...

Re: Tree-based talent generation on enemies = balance nightm
It seriously cranks the difficulty on the lower difficulties, too. I'm reasonably competent as far as a normal difficulty player goes, and this has seriously cranked the number of bosses that I have to pay real attention to lest they kill me. It also means that a decent number of the bosses are now ...

Re: Triple Mana Coil FTW
Ah. Fair. I will say that the mana regen of the mana coils was actually a pretty big deal, as it meant that I could run all of my sustains (leaving me with a reasonably small mana pool) and still throw around basically whatever spells I wanted to. In particular, it meant that getting my mana pools a...

Re: Triple Mana Coil FTW
That's the guy. Not sure what the last name was in reference to. I'm... not stress-testing what works well and what doesn't? I'm playing the game to have fun. The entire point of the build was to have three mana coils and see how well it worked. I thought it odd that no one had posted anything about...

Triple Mana Coil FTW
Mana coils are interesting. They're a staff-only tinker that has an on-spell-hit lightning bold generator (25%) and a 5 mana regen. Simply by existing, they imply a mage build to optimize them - stack as many staves as you can, slap a mana coil on each on, push heavy lightning, and then try to figur...

Re: Best classes and builds for Yeeks?
Yeeks are built for mindpower classes, they're fragile, and they're speedy. They also have a difficult time of it at first. The answer to "which classes should I play as a yeek" varies *drastically* on your level of play. If you're just trying to survive the first two dungeons, you need a ...

Re: DarkGod, Embers of Rage Canon Sequel?(or alternate timel
So, it's *technically* possible to win EoR without even clearing the bridge. There's a few frankly punishing difficulty jumps, but it should be at least technically doable. Would that lead to a different different ending?
