Phase Door has a tendency to put you in the same bad situation you are already in. Teleport can, at least, put you in a new terrible situation. Any success in this field? I just manually replaced the file instead, which gives a bad game version and prevents profiles and linking any interesting items I find.Avianpilot wrote:If that's all it takes then I'll look into doing that. I was bandying around the idea that using a Blood of Life as an undead would convert you to a random, living race while still keeping a few perks. Like, skeletons would keep their existing points in Skeleton and Resilient Bones [since those are more physical/magical modifications to your structure] ...

Also, poison traps stay working in the Arena. Even if you disarm the trap. (Not sure what happens if you disarm the trap before the wave [and therefore, current trap] changes though.)

Are there still text/console modes for ToME 4? There's an option for ASCII mode. It isn't console, but is similar at a glance. Is there still a wizard mode... one probably cannot even copy their save-file... There is, but you have to activate it separately. And yes, you can copy saves. What happene...

Most of these sounds pretty good to me, though a few are dependent on previous conditions being met. 1. Just tossing in another opinion in to the fray: keep resting separate from autoexplore, or at least make it an default-off optional selection. Cursed, for example, might find it troublesome. I think of speed/turns as fractional values (which isn't actually accurate, as a 'turn' is actually an amount of time, with a frame of reference outside of the character).
