Judging by the reports of the location poll, it looks like things are fairly evenly divided, location-wise, between N. America and Europe. Of course, if there were a European ToME gathering, I'd only be able to make it if it were in London between March 15th and 22nd. Heh.

With all the orc-related ideas, what about an improved 'orc town' that implements them all in one special level?

I went through there with my last thaumaturge, but I never did figure out where I was supposed to get that silly eternally flaming thing, so I retired when I ran low on potions (annoying, that lack of air thing).

I've played a number of sorcerors and found them to be fun to run. The variety of spells is great, but I rarely used most of them. Then I tried a warper with thaumaturgy. ToME is one of several favorite games (mostly RPGs and strategy) that I cycle between. I'll get tired of it soon enough, but I'll be back again later.

I go for ASCII nearly all the time because it's so much cleaner than tile mode. There is one dungeon where tile mode is very helpful, though.
