The argument against respec is very weak. 1. If some else respecs it will ruin my own enjoyment of the game 2. Choices are supposed to be permanent 3. regen and rounding
I have two regen rings one is 0.5/turn and the other 1.3/turn. I assume my base regen is 0.5/turn. Is there a difference between 1.3, 1.8 or 2.3 regen or does rounding equal them out?

How to handle traps?
I have just completed the Maze and I ran into traps that could zap me for 1/3 my hitpoints (~120). That was kinda of scary. How should I go about handling them? The only options I see are using the identify/disarm traps talents but as this is my first time getting this far I have no idea of their ef...

I am playing a shadowblade on adventure mode (my first character in ToME). Am I supposed to learn to avoid Derth when the Gwelgoroth's show up for a period of time? I do alright with them one-on-one but eventually 4 of them gang up on me and I can't handle it...

For beta testing purposes I would like to respec at will. For post-beta I would like a system smilar to what Shadowbane implemented (In that game there was a similar problem - if you could just remake your entire build every 5 minutes that would be game-breaking). I am trying to plan generic points for a shadowblade and I am curious about attack rating. If I invest no points in the combat skill that gives 6 to attack each level, will I be able to compensate with gear in game and still be able to achieve an acceptable hit rate?
