Re: Eye of Druj princess room
You can also skip the level without spending anything on Thunderlord teleportation. Just stair-scum (regenerate the level by going up and down stairs) until you find a downward shaft on level 58 and use it to descend multiple levels past the princess.

You can leave it as long as you like (provided of course that you don't destroy Gondolin by wearing the Ring).

Ah that's handy, because my first character was an Arcane Blade and I was planning to try a Shadowblade next
By 'says "not implemented"', do you mean that there's a log somewhere showing what's in and what's planned to be in?

Re: RFT14
My first character (that made it out of Amon Sul) has just died at level 9 in the Sandworm Lair. Those collapsing walls are nasty! Killed the Shade, Old Man Willow and *** the Stone Troll (can't remember which one it was :) ), so I've had a decent look around. Off to try a more melee intensive class...

It's in the bottom-middle square of the south-west room. If it's not there, there's a thief still alive somewhere (they teleport after stealing from you).

There are plenty of other restoration methods; activations on certain artefacts, the Nature spell, a purchasable option in some towns, etc...
Not sure about the Anchor.

Happy new year to you too
Exciting times for ToME! Personally, I think that if you're satisfied that you're going to be able to get this done, then this seems like the ideal time to make an announcement. I don't see any point in delaying, as it will only encourage the community to drift away.

Re: Such a sad end...
There isn't, but don't waste your sympathy. If you've ever read the Silmarillion, you'll know he's a fairly unsavory character - forcing his wife into marriage, keeping her and his son Maeglin prisoner, trying to kill his son, etc...

Re: What does a potion of new life do, exactly?
You have an hp 'score', expressed as */100 and the potion rerolls this value. I believe it only affects your hp before constitution modifiers, life multipliers, etc, so the potential benefit or loss to your health is fairly minor. You can (again, IIRC) see your current */100 by drinking a potion of ...

The stealth penalty is almost irrelevant, since the rogue bonus is so high. You spend 33 points instead of 25.madmonk wrote:Thunderlord?

Re: Reworking possession
Sorry, I assumed you were talking about eg. Eol attacking with a wielded sword. If you're talking about innate creature attacks then you may well be right, but they are still affected by bare-hand.
