ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I just unlocked Paradox Mage, and I figured it looked neat, so I'm trying it out. Any advice? What are the best talents? What's a good Paradox level to hit between battles?

I think that what happens is that my online profile stores my unlocks and keeps overwriting those files. I'll just have to unlock Corrupter again, I guess (assuming that I ever play a game where Mark of the Spellblaze doesn't disappear.)

Thanks for the suggestion, but that doesn't work. When I start Tome and go to New Game, I see 0 unlocked character options. Then when I go back to the start screen and then return to New Game, I see the prior 17 unlocks, which doesn't include Corrupter.

If your class doesn't have See Invisible talents, and you haven't found any See Invisible gear yet, is there a way of dealing with invisible monsters?

Right-click on the shielding rune. It should be one of the options displayed.

I thought I would bump the thread to mention that Curie, the archmage I asked for advice for earlier, has now beaten the game (but only just, with 7 lives gone in Adventure Mode and only the Blood of Life remaining). He isn't synced up to the Vault for some reason (perhaps because he's b34).

I was happily slaughtering orcs in the Vor Armory when I noticed that my life regen had dipped to 0.05 (from 1.6ish) for no reason I could discern. Why? None of my gear appears responsible.
