ASCII&BG: Walls in Heart of the Gloom

I think it would make things less confusing, if there weren't 2 kinds of walls in the dungeon Heart of the Gloom:

Re: Is win and linux version save compatible?

I compiled it myself, using the git mirror I setup a while ago, greycat.

Re: Is win and linux version save compatible?

I can confirm that the saves are interchangeable between WindowsXP 32bit and Linux 64bit with b29.

Cheers!

(pre-b29) "ASCII with background" broken [FIXED]

Tested with r3822, linux/amd64.

The graphic mode "ASCII with background" is currently not showing any colored background. Everything is black. So currently there is no difference between "ASCII" and "ASCII with background".

Thanks for looking into this.

Cheers!

Re: Easier map scrolling when using only keyboard

From the other side of the fence: I would be great if the map could be easier scrollable without any use of the mouse. The current way to do it - to active "look", and moving the targeting cursor to the edge of the play-field with shift+direction keys - is quite uncomfy. How about using ct...

Re: Proxy support / Profile-server config-option

Just for the record: Me and Canderel both got it working by using ssh/putty through our company proxies, tunneling te4.org's ports 2257 and 2258 to our desktop and adjusting Client.lua to connect to localhost. Some proxies do not allow CONNECT to port 22 (default ssh) - in that case make your sshd l...

(pre-b29) Wide screens break dialogs [FIXED]

Have a look here (too big to show inline).

The text is repeated on the very right. This happens in many other dialogs/windows as well.

Font setting is "Big" and "Fantasy".

Thanks!

Stats red - how come?

I was quite confused at this, thinking I had something equipped with mali to stats. Is it just red because it's less than the base-value? In that case it should be green, too, in my opinion, since it's a base race/class modification, not a temporary mali or the like. Thanks! https://develz.org/misc/...

Big font - cut off text, too small dialogs/windows

I'm using the Big font setting and almost every dialog/window is properly re-sized or gets scroll-bars to compensate for the bigger space required to display the full text. Great! One exception though: the character creation dialog compared to Normal font size . https://develz.org/misc/tome/big_font...

Re: Is win and linux version save compatible?

I can confirm that, while fighting to work around the enforced proxy at work, I copied a character from a Linux/64 to a Windows XP/32 and it worked fine.

He could still be in Moderator group but have e.g. Registered User as default group, which defines the color. But I agree green looks way better!

Ahhh, awesome!

Dooh, blind me! And here I was being sure I grepped the whole code for "te4.org"

Thank you very much!

Proxy support / Profile-server config-option

Hi there, I recently started playing ToME and I can feel the attraction growing ;-) Fortunately, there is only little to do at work at the moment. Unfortunately, Internet there is accessible only via a http proxy (with CONNECT support to numerous ports). Seems like ToME doesn't support contacting th...
