[1.7.2]Maybe not a bug, about grabbing.

So the issue is that grabbing seems to have some hidden property.
When I try to grab things like "Wasp swarm" or "Mosquito swarm", it always results in a fail. They are all very small and seems should work.

So I guess for some of the species or categories grabbing simply doesn't work? Does anyone know about it?

I know that grappling checks pining immunity, so if something has 100% of that you can't do it to them. You can check what immunities an enemy has by inspecting them and going to the defense tab.

That should not be the case. Both mosquito and wasp have no pinning resistance. And we further found that time element and some living weapons also cannot be grabbed.

Yea uh, flying enemies cannot be pinned. It doesn't show up on the charsheet but yea, can't pin them (and thus can't grapple em)
