So just reached level 30 on my orc Sawbutcher last night before bed and after I got off I was looking at the wiki prodigies list. I realized two things: one is in RoE campaign you can't get some of the prodigies because they need you to get achievements, have/use items (like Sandworm Heart/Wyrm Bile so no Draconic Will/Body), or do things in events you can only get in the main campaign. Number two was nothing really stood out to me. Most of the main classes have prodigies that obvious go with them. Some were even made with only one or two classes in mind. Couldn't really find any of them for sawbutcher other than standard good ones for most builds.

There were two that did catch my eye a bit but after thinking about it more I wasn't sure. First one was Corrupted Shell because more life and defense stuff in ToME is great and even better on melee classes. But that seems like one you can't get in RoE campaign because of the destroy Zigur part. 2nd one that looked maybe good was Fast As Lightning for some speed lolz with saw wheel but I'm not sure how easy/hard it would be to get the %800 movement speed needed.

So I guess my question is what is everyone getting for their prodigies on sawbutcher in RoE campaign and is there a way to get the prodigies that need stuff from main campaign?

If you didn't notice, there are new prodigies! And some are AMAZING for the sawbutcher. The strength based one that gives you ludicrous stats especially.

You can always check the character vault, but I heard that a lot of people are going for the new constitution one. And apparently the new Strength one is pretty good as well. IMO, the classes are so OP you don't even need prodigies. :P

I got Subcutaneous Metallisation and Flexible Combat. Subcutaneous Metallisation is awesome if you max Constitution and have some equipment that increases it further - together with Grinding Shield and Tempest of Metal, it makes you almost invincible as a Sawbutcher and I almost never had to heal during a fight after I got it. Flexible Combat worked very well for me but probably wasn´t the best choice.

Oh there are new ones! Well now I feel stupid. Guess I'll take a look in game then.

The strongly thematic Pain Enhancement System is great for the Sawbutcher (well it's great for every character) : you don't even have to max critical chance for you're performing tons of attacks each turn.

The pain enhancement system is completely and utterly insane. Pair it with carry the world -- the sawbutcher I'm running right now has all of +29 to strength from equipment (and that coming from three items, which is to say I'm not even remotely trying for it), which comes out to 129 total strength for the prodigy to work off of. End results? +85 to every single primary stat, for a total point boost of 510. The character only has 382 total before it. It's absurd. All the fancy tricks in the world doesn't matter when you hit like several rapidly moving heavy objects.
