Post subject:  Help my mindslayer wield three weapons.

I just unlocked mindslayers and I am having trouble working out the skills. It looks like I should be able to wield two greatswords and a gem (Yeek Mindslayer). In what order do I wield weapons and activate skills to get the gem into the third slot? How do the skills Telekinetic grasp and Beyond the flesh work? When i activate Tele Grasp, and select my gem, it goes into the main slot, replacing a sword, leaving me with a gem and a sword wielded. I keep trying things but I have not the brains to figure this out, so I come to the forums for some thanksgiving help. Thanks...

You can't put multiple items in your TK slot, you have to choose between a weapon, gem or mindstar. Your mainhand/offhand slots work the same as any other character.

as stinkstink said, you can wield 1 item telekinetically, and your regular weapon slots work as normal.

When you activate telekinetic grasp, you select which item to wield in your TK slot, this will give you the "when worn" stat bonuses that are on the item, but nothing else, as far as i know.
When you activate beyond the flesh, you will get an additional bonus depending on the item type in your TK slot, and if its a melee weapon it will exchange str and dex for wil and cun.

Ive never understood why these two skills are not just one skill, since there are very few scenarios where it would be useful not to have the beyond the flesh bonus.

To be clear, you cant wear 2 greatswords and a gem, since the gem and 2nd greatsword would both have to occupy the TK slot

Oh, ok. I guess it's working as intended. Part of my confusion was that my puny yeek spawned with two greatswords wielded, and i thought (hoped) that I could then ADD a gem or mindstar. But in truth one of those two wielded greatswords was already telekinetically wielded. right?

Yup. That'd be the one in the slot just above your real weapon slots.

If you want three weapons, though, it's not a bad idea to wield Mindstars in your main and offhand slots. They work on Willpower and Cunning instead of Strength anyway, so you don't need to pump any extra stats.

The free attacks from Beyond the Flesh can kill certain movement bonuses, and thereby prevent you from escaping certain death. So that's when you'd want to turn it off.

(When I write similar talents, of course, I just have the talents NOT AUTO-ATTACK when you're subject to one of those break-on-attack effects, but clearly not everyone is as nice to players as I am.)

Or bothered to suggest this when the talents were being updated...
