I've read all the changes in 1.5 to date, and I don't think I agree with this. I'm really looking forward to 1.5, given what I've read so far. eg I've been play-testing Marksman heaps and it's great.

Demo tanks really well against melee enemies and struggles against large magical burst damage (this often crits too, think soul rot/lightning/wilful strike) so a moderate amount of crit shrug would help patch up that fairly significant weakspot. Meanwhile giving reaver and corr any defenses outside of bone shield would be well appreciated and might even lead to people unlocking Torment.

Could put it in Blood Vengeance then. The talent already has a thing with taking large burst damage, so putting in something to also make you not die from it would work.

yeah Blood Vengeance at the moment is really lackluster and none of the 3 classes that have it have a good reason to put points into it as anything other than disperse fodder

So, my Corrupter is nearing the end of his journey. I got through the Slumbering Caves which was quite the awful experience, and unfortunately not a fruitful one. I went through many of the vaults - turning away to a few of them when level 106 Nightmare Horrors or level 107 Worm that Walks would show up looking for an Unstoppable Force Salve - never found it (so no Life Support Suit unfortunately).

However, I'm through it, which means that it is just the end fight to get through (or die in). I did managed to get just enough talent points to pick up Burning Hex so I have that. I'm thinking I'll likely replace my Biting Gale Rune with a Shielding Rune, but I'm not sure I will since most of the Shielding Runes I've picked up have been horribly weak. Of course, I may just go into the fight, die, and replace it in between deaths.

Sorry for the late response, but Antimagic enemies are a huge problem. Unlike WTWs, however, you can actually realistically beat them (sometimes). You need to hold Drain until you get Mana Clashed and then immediately use Drain or Bloodcasting (which is good even at 1/5). Burning Hex is great in long fights but always check their saves to make sure you can beat them. Alternatively Domination Hex can pit two rares against each other so you may be able to get another enemy to kill or at least soften up the Antimagic guy. You cannot take physical hits or you're in serious trouble because of the Mana Clash manaburn and Bone Shield preservation but otherwise Antimagic enemies do fairly low damage. Virulent Disease is usually eaten by Antimagic Shield but you may be able to get their Equilibrium high enough to break the shield and if you do that then the fight is as good as won. Vimsense and blight penetration are very important because of Resolve. If you can't beat either their spell or mental saves or if you can't stop them from breaking your Bone Shield or draining all your Vim then just run away because you probably can't beat them.
