So how do you think this build would work for a Yeek? The STR won't be good at first, but I figure with the exp bonus, you'll just be higher level than you would normally be.

@malboro
As you say, the racials are great, and especially so for this build. I would say being thaloren is pretty important. Obviously in theory you can make it work with any race, but popping wrath of the woods and wild infusion together and then spamming breaths was my primary strategy. If you take out wrath of the woods, it just becomes a lot more shakey.
The exp penalty is pretty annoying, but the last couple of levels dont do much for this build anyway, you could probably enter high peaks at 44 and be just fine.

@nintura
I havent tried yeek for this build, but on paper its actually not as bad as i initially thought. The confusion immunity is great and gives you flexibility in gear later on, the global speed is just good in general, but it also makes you reach +100% global speed for regens with fungus earlier. As for the stats, its actually not a big deal since the +willpower compensates, and you dont need str early on. The biggest problem with yeek is that you are a lot more vulnerable to burst damage, with the reduced total hp pool and lack of wrath of the woods.

Well, as for yeek, I know it comes down to some luck (like what you get in the beginning), but damn if this little guy isn't a beast. I'm having an easier time than I ever have once I got off the yeek island. I got lucky and found the ring of growth, girdle of calm waters, and Summertide Phial right off the bat. Add in not one, but TWO Willpower Regen infusions that both heal more than my max HP and wow, the beginning is just a joke :)

damn lol, talk about ideal start :D what did you do with subject z? just recall out or did you fight him? been awhile since i played yeek, cant remember if fighting him is realistic or not

Since I haven't unlocked the yeek class yet, I havent fought him. I just left. I dont know if it's possible to kill a rogue that early lol. But yeah, up until lv 17, my con was still 7 lol. Also lets not forget the Yeek racial that mind controls stuff is willpower based.

One thing I'm having a hard time figuring out is why my dwarf had no equlibrium issues but my yeek still piles it on. I assume fatigue, but my dwarf was in full heavy armor.

fatigue does not affect equilibrium. sustains can be quite taxing early on, try turning any that aren't essential off, it can have a pretty big effect

The only sustain I have is the one that extends the regens. I don't use the ice armor.

See? Now that I'm lv 33, I've hit this magical zone where I can almost spam my breaths all day and not have to worry about EQ. Starting at 15, casting 4 breaths and the aoe fire one, I only hit 40 EQ

it is likely because you are using the fungus tree, which reduces equilibrium each turn a regen effect is active on you. Also keep in mind that the higher level you are, the higher equilibrium you can have without risking ability failure, so at any rate, its natural to have problems at lower levels

Right, I understand the fungus tree :) I've had like 10 or so Wyrmics that I've at least made it to the east with. It's my favorite class so far with the anorithil right behind. I always have the regen effect on. However, you're probably right in that it's a level thing and I just happen to notice it all at once.

Welp, finally lost the Yeek. Was doing the optional bosses, just could not kill the dragon orc in Daikara, and died to the oozemaster (lv 43 to my 38) at the bottom of the sludgenest.....

Iron mail of bloodletting for it's 30% heal mod or Borfast's Cage for it's massive armor, 15% physical resist and 20% reduced crit chance?

Post subject:  Re: Wyrmic 6 breaths "caster" guide

Thats a tough one. If you have high armor hardiness as well as decent armor on the rest of your gear, i would probably go borfasts. If you dont have a high armor hardiness as well as decent armor, i would go iron mail of bloodletting. They are both really good. Also consider if you are having trouble vs burst damage or sustained damage primarily, if burst is a problem, go borfasts, otherwise go iron mail.
Eventually iron mail will outperform borfasts easily, since its modifiers scale a lot better.
