Because of a still stiff arm after a dislocated shoulder i plan to do an easy character without too much combat arts. I am doing an ogre marauder which used daggers (3 points) till level 12, then two handed (2) with dagger (1) till i had some tier 3 or 4 mindstars.
The late game defense is planed as a mix of true grit, unstoppable and ogre boosted heroism potions.
Currently i am level 23 and transformed in to using mindstars. Probably not ideal points spending but i never died yet in normal diff.

How are you handling stat allocation at level up, especially with regard to class abilities & prereqs? When do you start building Wil instead of Str & Dex? Iirc marauders do use some Cun for their abilities.

How important do you find Battle Tactics? Are you mainly relying on the Ogre racial or lv 36 cat point for another inscription slot?

At level 24 my base points are:
STR 30
DEX 40
CON 10
MAG 10
WIL 43
CUN 11

I didn't do anything into WIL or CUN before my STR and DEX were at 30/40. Step Up is at 5/5 now and makes tactical movement a lot easier.The next 5 level generics will be into Writ Large for the extra infusion.

Why Ogre? You get a lot of HP and ogric wrath gets you close to full stun resist, but marauders are super hungry for generics. If you're building will, I think 1/1/1/1 Thalore is stronger than 1/1/1/1 Ogre. Halfling and even Dwarf also.
