Race XP Penalty Tweak

I've uploaded my first addon.

Rebalances race xp penalties more in line with their power (based on feedback here that seems reasonable after a long discussion: "http://forums.te4.org/viewtopic.php?f=3 ... 15#p225779")

Shalore = 35%
Thalore = 25%
Skeleton = 20%
Ogre = 40%

Can be used with any version of Tales of Maj'Eyal in TEngine4.

For those who want a more fun playthrough with Skeleton or Thalore, or those who want to see if they can handle a more realistic penalty for Shalore or Ogre, see here.

I've noticed especially while watching the online game feed that Skeleton especially is said to have too big a penalty for its power.

I look forward to hearing how your games are going using this addon. I'm especially interested in the kind of gameplay changes the Skeleton, Shalore and Ogre XP penalty shifts bring about and whether they are appropriate for their racial abilities.

Speaking for myself, I don't really think about the exp penalties when picking a race. Cool that you got this idea working though!

Well, it doesn't matter so much when the XP penalty is lower or on par with their general strength, but Thalore (previously 35%) and Skeleton (previously 40%) were significantly harder just because their XP penalty was likely a lot too high, and that may have dissuaded some people.

Would people like it if an update to this addon also removed the Ghoul speed penalty? I know another addon already does that but it also makes other changes. Alternatively I could reduce the Ghoul XP penalty (even make it negative, ie. XP bonus if it is close to the borderline).

Just don't call it "race xp penalty tweak" anymore as that would be misleading.
Besides... 1.5 already has ghouljump removing the speed penalty, why even bother adding such cheats?

I'd probably leave the Ghoul speed penalty as is. Part of what makes Ghouls 'Ghouls' is their speed penalty.

What about their XP penalty? Is 25% reasonable, or would it be more appropriate if it was lower?

I've always thought it should be relatively similar to Skeleton so it could probably get lowered.

I made an extra change - Ghoul now has a 20% XP penalty.

Now Shalore has 30% and Ogre has 35% XP penalty instead of 35% and 40% as in previous versions of this addon.
