Huh. I've had this addon since I started playing and never actually tried a sentient Gem to realize they were bipedal. Welp. Want some free flavor text for a no longer relevant race?

Form of the Destroyer:

for a thousand years gem-kind quietly communicated amongst itself, a whispered firebolt, a shouted manabolt, a sly frost lance. A poetry of energies. Then the strangers came. And when they tried to communicate with these strangers, exchange energy, the strangers lashed out cruelly, shattering the gem bodies. An attempt was made to facilitate communication by forming a new body in the shape of the destroyers, and it too was struck down. Slowly the sentience has reformed new bodies in the Form of the Destroyer, and sent them out covered in a veil of energies to disguise their nature to learn how to communicate in this strange kinetic 'speech' the destroyers seem to favor.

Crystal race may not be bipedal for long.

Our community's rexorcorum has been working on some new non-bipetal art, and it's gorgeous stuff so far (as usual).

Accidentally made one of my saves unplayable. Was Crystal Alchemist that got sent to Eidolon plane, swapped positions with golem to talk with Eidolon instead of using Crystal Crawl and asked to be sent back to map. Am now crystal on map without crawl active and therefore cannot move. Any fixes for this?

Okay, I pushed a fix, but it's only GUARANTEED to work for new Crystals.

The fix is tied to putting a new point in Crystalline Structure, so if you're able to do that (or take one out, confirm okay, then put one back in), then you MIGHT MAYBE HOPEFULLY get the fix.

The fix is: when you rest for 1 turn on any world map, Crystal Crawl automatically activates.

When jayseesee wrote this originally, I spent some time trying to break exactly that -- to get to the world map with Crawl turned off -- and you discovered a way which I hadn't anticipated. So, congrats. :)

The previous fix required using a callbackOnAct in a passive talent, which is can expose a bug in 1.1.5 if you're not using the fix provided in Nullpack.

So, I duplicated that fix over into the New Gems superload section. (Note that the overridden function is identical in both cases, so these two addons remain compatible.)

Also, apparently there was something odd going on if you select "auto-assign talents = disable", so I hopefully worked around that. Only affects new Crystals.

Naked Golems Fix (in Nullpack actually).

The issue with Prismatic Golems starting out naked is due to the material level restrictions on the Gates of Morning zone. All Nullpack class gear now ignores material restrictions. I'm pestering DarkGod to add that same restriction ignore feature to all other classes :)

Drat, gotta wait on a dev-end upgrade to get my arcane blade golem going. Oh, btw? Is the golem starting with a t3 or 4 gem WAD?

Unfortunately the gem tier is determined by the zone as well, and I don't know how to override that.

You could start in the Infinite Dungeon campaign, that should give you a decent Prismatic Golem with all gear.

I'll re-upload the Steam version, I thought it was already up to date. Sorry!

Quote turns out it doesn't matter - between the shield rune, heat beam and the bs bonuses from a high-tier gem plus being immune to poison I pulled it off fine.

Hopefully the naked issue will be fixed by the same thing that fixes the high-tier gem.

jayseesee is the original addon coder and now he's just throwing me bug reports without a stack trace :cry:
