So I finally reach High Peak 10 for the first time, in Adventure/Nightmare.
As I arrive, the portal for the Sanctum is literally around the corner (scouted with Track). I - up Charred Scar, so I had to fight Aeryn. A rare Bone Golem was very close to her (and both aggroed immediately when I walked out of the stairs due to layout).
For the moment, it's not too bad. I've seen far worst stairguardians combos in earlier levels.
Then it arrives. My dreaded archnemesis. The ridiculously gamebreaking overpowered Dreadmaster (who the - designed that monster and thought it was a good concept?). Multiple cryomancers kept teleporting into the fight (as usual) with one of them being rare (it really felt like I aggroed the entire floor somehow). But the Dreadmaster is simply absolutely retarded. I haven't seen a single monster, in my entire playthrough, that is as ridiculous as it is.
How the hell do you even kill one under 1 000 turns as a melee character? Add on top of the the unique boss, and the rares. I had to skip 3 entire Dradfeel levels because of dreadmaster spawns, I had major issues in Tannen's Tower because of one, I've seen a few in High Peak but managed to race to the staircase asap.
Also, do the staircase disapear in High Peak 10? I had only a very small section of the map explored, but the staircase simply disapeared and was nowhere to be found.
I feel very frustrated that my run ended like this. If the dreadmaster had not been there, I would have cleared the rest of the enemies without much problem. How do melee characters deal with that kind of ridiculous monster?
I died while having a Blood of Life, so I was revived, but with everything on cooldown and pretty much died immediately. I'm fairly confident that even with more lives, I could not have won the battle here. My only other option would have been to rush the Sanctum, but with no sustains and every skill on massive cooldown, very low stamina and vim, and with no ally is a guaranteed death to Elandar and Argoniel.

In Combat Techniques tree.Perfect Strike :
You have learned to focus your blows to hit your target, granting +45, +66, +85, +102, +118 accuracy and allowing you to attack creatures you cannot see without penalty for the next 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 turns.
With this on you will pretty much never miss while attacking Dreadmasters (or any other mob).
Always kill them first and always get that skill by Dreadfell on melee chars (if they have it).
Pickaxes can also have the Perfect Strike talent on active.
I write guides and make addons too now, apparently
You can go here for a compilation of everything I wrote, plus some other important stuff!
Includes general guides (inscriptions, zone, prodigies), and class guides (Demo, Anorithil, Bulwark, Zerker, Sblade)
