Still alive, just can't for the life of me kill Grushnak!
He loaded with really high level regen + heal infusions - it makes him nigh impossibe, even with pretty much the best gear going I can't take him down. Tried about 10 diff strats, even went and found the hammer of deep bellows... but no avail.

The closest I had him, after about a 10min fight hoping he doesn't pop either his juggernaut or a heal... had him down to 130 hp. 130 freekin hp. And he goes and pops a jugg + regen, and I couldn't touch him before he got back up to 100%. Most annoying fight ive ever had. :P

Anyone else have really crappy luck with his infusion choices? Nigh impossible for a zerker when he gets those two together.

Can I skip him or keep trying till I get it?

Welcome to the club. I walked away from Grushnak because he was healing faster than I could damage him and went off to do the "back to Maj'Eyal" quests. And just now, I walked away from another monster in the Old Forest because it had both healing 500+ AND regen for 796+!!!! that made it impossible to kill.

Yeap, looks like i'm stuck - can't see any way I can realy improve my gear all that much, no way to hit him when his got his earthen shield up... has some crazy good regen and heal runes (and yea, he has a 500+ heal infusion and at least a 700+ regen, combined with his shield wall + earthen mantle), can't get anywhere below 30% unless i get lucky.

Frustrating!

Is it possible to skip him?
Just went down the slime tunnels, are those doors sposed to open? :P
Never been to the end fight, so no idea!

Looking at Gar's gear, it seems to me that there's a lot of room for damage boosting. In particular, gear that increases physical damage by a percentage will produce dramatic results. Robes of power and rings of massacre, while maybe not worth wearing for general adventuring, might do the trick for killing Grushnak. Even better, do the quest for Limmir the jeweler in the Far East town. He can make you some truly powerful rings once you do.

Another option, if you still have talent points you haven't allocated, is to use Blood Frenzy. Last I checked there was no cap on the damage bonus. You kill a bunch of plentiful, wimpy enemies (like summoned hatchlings or splitting jellies), which lets you accumulate Blood Frenzy damage boosts, and then butcher Grushnak before the bonus wears off. I've used this to one-shot level 100+ multi-hued wyrms.

Hum that is indeed a problem, I'm reducing the stat effects on infusions for NPCs.
Maybe I should add (for both player and NPCs) an "infusion destabilization" (ok with a less dumb name), which increases their CD the more they are used, it would disappaer after some turns but would make boss battles less frustrating

As for your game, send it to me, I'll use my super god powers on Grushnak
