As of Beta 17, item inventory/equipments lists display the encumbrance of stackable items (e.g., ammo) as the weight of the base item.

I think it would be more useful to display the aggregate weight of the stack. This would be more apples-to-apples with the other encumbrances listed, and provide more useful feedback on just how much penalty weight that ego ammo you're lugging around is really costing you. You can still list the base-item weight in the item detail, but at the inventory-management level the total weight is really the only meaningful metric.
