Hello

I found a new scheme to create hopefully portable linux binaries, can you please download: http://te4.org/dl/t-engine/t-engine4-li ... ic.tar.bz2

And tell me if this works for you ? And if you are on 32 or 64 bits.
Thanks!

Works for me!
32 bit system, Xubuntu 10.04 distribution, kernel 2.6.32-24-generic

I won't test it extensively though, because I'm currently playing ToME 2 on whatever free time I have left ;-)

1) download somewhere
2) tar xvjf t-engine4-linux32-1.0.0beta10-nomusic.tar.bz2
3) cd t-engine4-linux32-1.0.0beta10
4) ./t-engine

PS: the starting screens were absurdly slow for me, but that's probably because I don't have any proprietary graphics drivers installed right now.

I'll rejoice when I can figure out how to unlock more classes and races. Tempted to just go to the spoiler area. Maybe there needs to be an "advanced mode" option. :)

Right now I have skeletons and summoners. I know about the mage quest, but I think it was broken in 9 or I wasn't doing something right. I could never finish the dialog with the man in the field.

Yeah wow, sure looks like it. I am conflicted about the whole unlocking ordeal. Part of me likes it, offering a bonus for just playing, the pther part of me feels I'd be having more fun by playing all the classes and races the game has to offer without needing the luck of the unlock.

Only three of the class unlocks are luck based (cyromancer, pyromancer, and summoner). All the rest unlock in very specific ways.

The races do require some luck... or unluck... or maybe a mixture of good and bad luck >.>

Anyway I'm a big fan of stuff being unlockable myself. Gives me goals with in the game aside from doing the same old quests or just getting to the end as efficiently as I can.
