I recently changed from a GTX 970 to an R7-240 graphics card. Before making the switch, tome had a bunch of animations -- fireballs, black wings on the necromancers, etc. That all seems to be gone now. Fireballs are a spray of dots. The wings disappeared entirely and are now a weird effect kind of like the sunwells in EOR except with black lines.

I have all of the shader options enabled and my graphics driver is up to date (Mesa 18). The R7-240 isn't a great card but it should be more than capable of handling tome's simple graphics. Any ideas what's going on?

Oh all the usual ideas...
This game uses OpenGL for all the fancy shader effects and some graphics drivers screw it up somehow.
You can check your compatible extensions with: https://realtech-vr.com/admin/glview
Theoretically you only need to be able to do OpenGL 2.1, but there have been reports of people with 4.0 supported and it still not working.
