Ah much useful thanks!
Turns out there is only one shader that doesnt work, the shadowfire one on corruptors for example.
The fullsquare thing is more like a bad interraction between tile mode and shaders. Not sure how to fix it but now at least I know it exists :)
Maybe simply disabled shaders when in ascii mode? I mean if people use ascii its because they dont want fancy gfx stuff I assume ?

I use ASCII because tiles are next to impossible to read for me. I enjoy shaders, fancy backgrounds, cool spell animations, nicer walls and environment. But monsters and items need to be symbols for me. I tried, but it's just so hard to see any items or to tell apart squiggly little sprites. A \ or Z is instantly recognisable for me.

Humm I see. Thing is I'm not sure I have an other way to fix the square shader thing. The One that actually bugs I am trying, but the other ones uh .. It all stems from the way the way the shader expects tiles to be and it's not compatible with the way ascii tiles are. I think

Fuma, please ping me on the ingame chat, or IRC, or discord until you manage to get hold of me. And ready your best text editor as I'll need you to do some fancy debugging for me.
I've tried ATI own test suite on the shader and it tells me it's all good :<

This is all way over my head since it gives me back assembly code. But I found this analyzer. Is it the one you're talking about?
