Normally you can't leave a level within several turns after killing an enemy. But you CAN leave a level after a recent kill by entering an Intimidating Cave. However, you are then trapped in the cave (very dangerous!) until the timer runs out on the recent kill. This is an unfair trap for the player. Preventing entry to the cave after recent kill, the way exit from a level is normally prevented, would solve the problem.

Clearing the recent kill timer upon entry to the cave would also fix it I suppose... that seems like it could conceivably be exploited by a player, but I'm not sure how that exploit would practically benefit anyone, since you'd only be escaping from a bad situation into an even worse one. I think this might actually be a good solution, and if it were harmful it wouldn't be VERY harmful, since these caves are rare. But preventing entry to the cave is probably better.

I'm sure there are other potential solutions too.
