[1.04]Sandworm Queen spawning far from the rooms

On a character i'm running, after reaching the bottom of the Sandworm lair, and following every tunnelers everywhere available on the map i have been surprised to not see the Sandworm Queen.

Not game breaking but still very annoying (as the sandworm queen heart is very usefull) and the 1st time i had this happening, so i decided to use my tooth of the mouth to dig, lucky for me i could dig 1 tile by 1 tile while the previously dug part wasn't falling on me by the time.

And after digging in every directions around the whole map for a long time, i finally found the Sandworm Queen somewhere in the far south of the mpa.
She was actually in a wall but far (at least 6 tiles) from the closest room she should have spawned into, she was alive and rushed me as soon as i freed her, of course i had to teleport (being an alchemist in close combat range is not exactly ideal), then came back to dig until she rushed me, then teleport... until finally i managed to lead her into a room in which we could finally have a battle and i could use my golem.

I'll note that this probably happen to my buggy Cornac Cursed run. Being Cursed I could see enemies with prenatural senses so I noticed the Sandworm Queen on the far west of the map. Unfortunately I thought the Queen was in a Room and quickly learned after Blindsiding to her and resting that she was in fact not in a room - one of my most unfortunately ends for a Let's Play Run : ToME - Cornac Cursed Ep 11 - Hating Yet Another Stupid Death

Ouch, that was really bad to lose a character like this

I lost a character in a similar way (though not related to the sandworm queen), as i was aiming for antimagic my character had then no phase/teleport rune (and no skill/racial to compensate), and following a tunneller, i was rushed by an elite before i could reach the room he came from.

And the elite had convenientely resistance that fitted exactly against the type of damage my character was doing, the battle would have been long.

And of course hen stuck in a sandworm tunnel, long = death if you can't teleport/phase/other skill allowing to get out of the crumbling tunnel, and unfortunately the movement rune is worthless in those case, due to the other side of the tunnel having already crumbled.

For the queen, i think a way to avoid those problems could have to set her to actively hunt for the player (as she can dig), so you could at least avoid the "queen spawn out of the actual rooms" situation that are so annoying.
