Thinking I'd be clever and protect the merchant with Time Prison I cast that on him and then killed the Assassin Lord.

Something bugged his script so that now he just repeats his Please save me thing with the assassin lord shutting his mouth. I'm guessing Time Prison is to blame.

*update*

Okay after taking the stairs out I got the quest completion script and the merchant does appear at his shop. So it looks like it's only stopping the rescue dialogue.

Is the merchant scripted to have new dialogue once the Assassin Lord is dead, or only after everything in the level is dead? He certainly doesn't get any new dialogie once I kill the former, as far as I can tell he repeats this no matter what.
