 Post subject: Game Crashing at Startup

I've been playing for the past two weeks. After some windows update yesterday (that took over an hour), I've been getting this on startup:

I've reinstalled the game. I've uninstalled all the addons. I've completely deleted the files in the steam folder for it as well between reinstalls. I've checked the log files but they cut off. I've tried loading it straight from the .exe file. No luck.

I have the same problem. Not playing on Steam though.

Notably, I got this problem after an update.

In steam add
Code:
--flush-stdout
to the launch options, this should help with the log cutting, and then show log
In non steam, run the game with option flush logs in the launcher

With original C:/stuff (I think): everything goes like normal, even when opening the "start new game" game-selecting thing. (You know, the choice between AoA and EoR and AoU'R.) But when I go to actually start the new game, it throws up on my screen and then crashes.

With the C:\thing deleted: the game throws up on my screen on the first button-click - it never asks me whether I want to play AoA or another thing.

I've deleted "C:\Users\Student\T-Engine" and "D:\Student Data\Documents\t-engine4-windows-1.5.3". Is that what "uninstalling" means? I couldn't find ToME in the list of "programs that can be uninstalled."

Huh. Problem mostly solved. It still hangs for a bit every time I start a new game, but last time I waited 10 minutes and nothing happened, and this time it only took 0.5min for it to start working.

The weird part is that I already did this. Did you make a patch or something?

I've uninstalled and deleted the TalesMajEyeal folder in steam\steamapps\common. No luck.

Alright. Uninstalled. Again deleted the TalesMajEyal folder in steam. Deleted the T-Engine folder in users. Reinstalled, launched. Still got the "Tales of MajEyal has stopped working" windows error message.

Sorry if this is inconvenient for figuring out the exact problem (or maybe it's not?) but I rolled back my computer before this latest windows update and the game runs just fine. Looks like it was the Windows 10 Creators Update, if that helps.
