It could but it will be very hard to make work, since weapon damage is almost always going to be way better than any non-weapon damage for this class. The reason for this is that Cursed will likely never have the mindpower of classes like Solipsist, so effects won't stick as often and non-weapon damage will be pretty low.

I can always apply them with physical power or accuracy or just ignore saves. :mrgreen:

Physical power isn't actually better since items for it are less common than those for mindpower or spellpower, the only way I know to get it very high is to use Arcane Might. Accuracy is even worse, especially on a class without Perfect Strike. Effects ignoring saves could be good solution but the damage may still end up being low. It'd be hard to find a balance where damage with 2h is not useless and damage with psiblades is not too good.

Well after saying I wouldn't have time, I did have time, so here is an update.

Revised a lot of numbers for Cursed.
Afflicted choice number 2 will now trigger at level 15 or above.
Doomed have a new category (Fury).
Tweaked a few cosmetic things.

I may not be able to test these until next weekend, but for when I do, what would be the best way to trigger the choices using dev mode?

First one is just get to level 5 and wander the wilderness.
Second one is get to level 15 and find a weapon on the ground.

I haven't had a chance to test your latest changes yet, but there's something I forgot to mention earlier. Ruined Earth and Cursed Sentry are both really interesting talents and I think they should both return in some form. Ruined Earth seems like it could fit into Misery nicely, and Cursed Sentry maybe as a late game choice option.

Okay updated:

Afflicted choice one should now work in any campaign.
Gifted actually gets their in Rampage only talents.
New advanced category for Gifted that extends Force of Will and Fury, called Destruction.
New advanced category for Gifted that extends Fears/Darkness/Punishments called Madness.

So how is this going peeps? Would anyone like to comment?

Had an Idea today for an Afflicted only replacement dungeon for the Shadow Crypt in the Far East.
Its a mirror based dungeon and after defeated a twisted reflection of yourself, you get to choose to enhance or reject whatever you picked for the first choice.
I should be able to copy some of Umbral's projectile reflecting code to make some mirror walls.
And some mirrors will shatter when hit and inflict temporary bad luck. :mrgreen:

Updated:
Obtainable here: http://www.users.on.net/~curtisnd/tome-livingnightmare.zip

Sunder replaced with Slash.
Deceptive Strike now gives you an attack if you get hit, just not a free crit.
Swapped Blindside and Assail, so Blindside isn't in a locked category.
Added a new advanced category for Gifted, Malign Manifestation, for all you tentacle fetishists.
Revised the Darkness and Shadows categories.
Added a new generic category, Cursed Arms.
The third talent in Cursed Form is now a choice between a merged Defiling Touch and Dark Gifts, or a Rampage on demand talent.

Cursed and Gifted are now basically complete. To continue I really need to know what parts of this rework people are liking and disliking. What is working well and what isn't. Otherwise I'm coding in the dark here. :|
In addition to revising the item curses and adding the forth talent pair in Cursed Form, I am intending on making an Assassin style class. Then it will be time to prune back the stuff that isn't working and send it in for merging into the game.

Since nobody is giving any feedback, I think i'll go ahead and give the mod a shot (I've always wanted to play the doomed/gifted anyway :p)

I started up a Gifted recently, and noticed that Cursed Form only has one talent (Broken Mind). You mentioned in your post that there is more talents to choose from. Is that still a work in progress?


Also I should point out I am completely new to this mod, so if I missed it, I apologize.
